Privacy Notice

This notice explains, in plain English, what information MyPocketFinPlan collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. MyPocketFinPlan is a personal financial planning workspace — your planning data belongs to you.

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1.Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run your planning workspace:

  • Account and login information — your email address and authentication details used to create and secure your account.
  • Family profile information — names, dates of birth, gender, occupation, contact details, dependants and related details you choose to enter.
  • Financial information you enter — income, expenses, assets, investments, liabilities and goals.
  • Planning assumptions — inflation, expected returns, retirement age, step-up rates and similar settings.
  • Uploaded statements — CAS / investment statements you upload for import, and the holdings and transactions extracted from them.
  • Technical and usage information — basic operational data such as error reports and request logs generated while the application runs.

We do not ask for, and you should not enter, information you are not comfortable storing in the application.

2.How we use your information

  • To provide the MyPocketFinPlan planning workspace and keep you signed in.
  • To perform the financial calculations you request, using your inputs and assumptions.
  • To generate planning outputs such as goal projections, funding positions and summaries.
  • To save your information so it is available the next time you sign in.
  • To maintain the security and reliability of the service, and to diagnose and fix issues.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.

3.Uploaded statements

When you upload a CAS or other investment statement, the file is processed so that investment information — such as scheme names, ISINs, folio numbers, units, values and transactions — can be extracted and saved to your account.

If a statement is password protected, the password you enter is used only to open the file during that import and is not stored.

Uploaded files and the records extracted from them are stored in your account and are scoped to you. Importing a new statement for the same owner replaces that owner's previous imported snapshot in the application.

4.Data security

The application currently relies on the following measures:

  • Authenticated access — you must sign in with your email and password to reach any planning data.
  • Row-Level Security in the database, so records are scoped to your account and are not readable by other users of the application.
  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between your browser and our hosted backend.
  • Private file storage for uploaded statements, accessible only through your authenticated session.

No online service can be described as completely secure, and we make no such claim. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.

5.Data retention

We keep the information in your account for as long as your account remains active, so that your plan stays available to you. Records you delete inside the application are removed from your working data. Operational logs and backups may persist for a limited period as part of normal service operation.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings. Doing so permanently removes your planning records and any statements you have uploaded, and closes your login. We cannot promise instantaneous or irreversible erasure from every backup copy at the moment of your request.

6.Your rights

You can:

  • Access the information held in your account, directly through the application.
  • Correct or update any information you have entered.
  • Delete your entire account and its data yourself, from Settings.
  • Raise a privacy concern or question with us at any time.

7.Third-party services

MyPocketFinPlan uses a small number of infrastructure providers to run the application. As of the date of this notice these are:

  • Supabase — hosted authentication, database and file storage used to hold your account, planning records and uploaded statements.
  • Lovable — the platform used to build, host and deploy the application.

These providers process data on our behalf so the service can function. We do not share your financial information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

8.Children's data

MyPocketFinPlan is intended for adults. It is not designed for children to independently create or operate accounts. Adults may record details about their children or dependants as part of family financial planning; that information is entered and controlled by the adult account holder.

9.Contact and support

For privacy questions, correction or deletion requests, write to us at support@MyPocketFinPlan.app. This address is a placeholder while our support channel is being finalised; if it is unavailable, please use the contact route provided within the application.

10.Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the product develops. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of MyPocketFinPlan after an update means you accept the revised notice.
